Healthy lunch box ideas:

Child behaviour and food have been found to be closely linked.

Studies show that certain foods can cause or at least worsen behavioural issues and learning disorders.

Triggers can include dairy, gluten, sugar and food additives.

Nutrient deficiencies can also be a problem if zinc, B Vitamins and iron are low this can also affect mood & concentration.

Another thing to consider - is there any gut dysbiosis (good & bad bacteria imbalance) or any parasites/gut bugs.

To me the main thing is to avoid additives, colouring's, preservatives and sugar.

I am being researching for high protein healthy lunch box and here are some ideas that I found:

  • Edamame Beans

  • Sushi ( cooked chicken, cooked tuna, California rolls ( veggies))- I wouldn’t send raw fish for the time exposed out of fridge.

  • Turkish style Gozleme ( it sells frozen in supermarkets)

  • Home made mini frittatas – very easy to make and you can freeze

  • Home made mini quiches- very easy to make and you can freeze

  • Boiled eggs

  • Carrots, cherry tomatoes and celery sticks with hummus

  • Greek yogurt

  • Roasted chickpeas ( it sells in supermarket)

  • Protein balls nut free- using coconut instead of nuts

  • Popcorn

  • Cheese sticks

  • Fruits
